Both Waluigi Spirit Battles use a Luigi puppet fighter. The Waluigi spirit is fought on the Peach's Castle stage. During the battle, Waluigi appears as a hostile Assist Trophy. Waluigi (Super Mario Strikers) is fought on the Wuhu Island stage's Swordplay Colosseum layout. During the battle, the Soccer Ball item will appear, referencing the sport this spirit is based on.
